Noah

Noah lived at a time when the Bible says that the Earth was corrupt and filled with violence (Genesis 6:11-12). God decides that he will bring judgement through a great flood and instructs Noah to make a large boat – an ark (Genesis 6:13-22). At an age of 600 (Genesis 7:6), Noah entered the ark with his family, a male and female of every living creature and seven pairs of each ‘clean’ creature. 40 days and nights of rain followed, with only the passengers of the ark saved. After the flood, God made a covenant with Noah that he would never send a great flood again, using the rainbow as the sign of the promise (Genesis 9:8-17).
